I could not recommend Doug more highly.

 He was responsive and turned up when he said he would. He is very knowledgeable and good at explaining what needs to be done in layman's terms. He works hard and I cannot fault his workmanship. Our was a tricky job but he didn't flinch. I was very confident of a good outcome and that's what we got. We were very pleased indeed with his installation of our new boiler, complete with smart controller. And on top of all that, he's a thoroughly likeable chap. I have no hesitation in commending his services. Use Doug and you won't be disappointed.

Service is spot-on

 I've used Doug for a house refurb I'm doing. Would always use him again after his work. Very reliable and spot on with price and timings. Shows his experience by advising and thinking ahead to the second fix and next stage of the job! Also sorted out the rest of my boiler/central heating installation after the first plumber wouldn't come back. Finally, he has a well stocked van to save time as not many trades do these days. Spot on.

Boiler Breakdown

Woke up with no hot water or heating. Called Doug and left message to ring me. Called me back within 10 mins and Doug had my boiler fixed by 3.30 pm, same day. Can't ask for better service than that!

General plumbing work - fixing leaks

 Doug came and looked at 3 leaks on two toilets and the shower fixings. He quoted for the work and came to do the repairs on the day he stated on time. Doug renewed various fixings and pipework to a high standard and left each area clean and tidy. One happy customer!

My combination boiler tripped out. Mr Cowan was able to talk me through how to reset it over the phone

 I'm not in the least technically minded, but Mr Cowan was able to talk me, through the reset process. He was very patient, didn't use jargon and as I advised him I was hard of hearing, he spoke clearly and slowly while I was on the phone with him. This meant he didn't need to make a home visit. When I asked him about payment, he declined, so by assisting me over the phone, it meant he lost money. BUT, it also means that I would recommend him highly. Good will goes a long way with me.

Removed old boiler and replaced with new one

 This is the second time I have used Doug to install a new boiler (he did so in my previous house). As was the case last time, he did a superbly professional job. Furthermore, he was able to offer advice as to the most suitable boiler to purchase. On time, clean and very friendly, I can whole-heartedly recommend Doug to you. Competitively priced too. I'll be using him again, should I need a plumber.
